Many ancient cultures recognized how the relationship between the sun, moon, stars and the earth has created profound influences on every aspect of life. The relationship of the sun to the earth creates the day and seasonal cycles. The earth's relationship to the moon affects the flow of ocean tides. More births occur on the full moon while more deaths occur on the new moon. Women's menstruation cycle, an inner tide reflecting the movement of the body's internal ocean-the blood-usually falls on the full or new moon cycle approximately every 28 days.
